Bios of the performers:
Roy Imperio, piano Roy has been with the adjunct piano faculty of the Thayer Performing Arts Center at Atlantic Union College since 1985 where he teaches piano and has also taught chamber music, piano pedagogy, and has been accompanist for the AUC Collegiate Choir and Chamber Singers. Being a versatile pianist, he has performed extensively in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Far East as soloist, accompanist, and as a chamber musician with numerous ensembles including the Bulfinch Players and the Windhammer Chamber Players. Recorded in 2001, his premiere CD release, “Holiday Music in New England”, includes piano solos and also features his arrangements and a composition for flute, guitar, and piano. He completed his B.M. and M.M. degrees from the University of the Philippines and Andrews University and has also studied with Menahem Pressler at Indiana University.
Katharina Radlberger, Violin Growing up in Graz, Austria, Katharina started learning violin as a child and later turned her hobby into her profession studying violin and pedagogy in Vienna, Austria. Before moving to the US in 2003 with her husband, Katharina worked as a freelance musician and played concerts touring all over Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA. She played as a member of Symphony Orchestras, Ensembles and various chamber music groups. In addition to playing classical music on modern violin, Katharina also plays baroque music on period instruments. Since living in Andover, MA, she co-founded the ‚Vienna Waltz Ensemble’ with Susanne Friedrich, and has been giving several chamber music concerts.
Susanne Friedrich, cello Susanne was born in Vienna, Austria. She studied modern cello at the Vienna Conservatory and baroque cello at the Tirol State Conservatory in Innsbruck. MS. Friedrich was on the faculty of the Vienna Conservatory Prep School and has performed numerous concerts as soloist, in chamber music and with orchestras (both modern and baroque/classical) throughout Austria and Europe as well as in Asia. In 1997, she moved to the Boston area establishing herself as a freelance player with the New Hampshire Symphony, Springfield Symphony, Masterworks Chorale and many others, playing chamber music and solo recitals and teaching at many schools including New England Conservatory’s Prep School, Clark University, Dana Hall School of Music, and St. Mark’s School. |
